Squid Art Car – Custom Kinetic Sculpture with LED Lighting

Commissioned as a private project, the Squid Art Car (2012) is a mesmerizing mobile sculpture that blurs the line between art fabrication and technological innovation. Designed and fabricated by Engineered Artworks, this tentacled vehicle mimics the dynamic coloration of a cuttlefish using a custom LED-embedded skin that simulates shifting patterns and light behavior.

With a foundation built on a modified Ford F-150 chassis, the Squid Art Car also includes a powerful sound system and seating for 15 passengers, making it a fully immersive, kinetic experience. The project highlights EA’s expertise in kinetic sculpture fabrication, LED integration, and custom art cars that inspire interaction and awe.

This unique large-scale art car has appeared at festivals and private events, showcasing Engineered Artworks’ ability to realize complex and imaginative visions.
