Deco Fish – Art Deco-Inspired Custom Art Cars

Commissioned as a private project in collaboration with the Star Star Roadhouse, Deco Fish is a stunning pair of custom art cars designed and fabricated by Engineered Artworks. Developed from a blank slate, the project evolved through an in-depth, collaborative creative process with the client.

Inspired by the iconic visual language of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis and the flowing symmetry of Art Deco architecture, the final concept brings to life two surreal, mechanical underwater creatures. Each vehicle features stylized lines, sculptural detailing, and a refined metallic aesthetic evocative of streamlined 1920s design.

Built on NPR truck chassis, these kinetic sculptures are equipped with fully programmable LED/RGB lighting, twin flame effects, and a professional-grade sound system. With a combined capacity for 40 passengers, the Deco Fish are immersive moving environments made up of large-scale sculpture fabrication, LED integration, and custom art car design.
