Aspen Grove Climber – Denver, CO
Engineered Artworks served as the sculpture fabricator and installation partner for Aspen Grove Climber, a large-scale public art installation and climbable sculptural environment located at Denver’s iconic 16th Street Mall.
This custom public artwork features a grove of textured steel aspen trunks supporting a suspended spherical sanctuary, complete with an enclosed spiral staircase and a nest-like swing. A canopy of leaf-shaped panels above provides shade and a sense of immersive natural wonder. The structure is both interactive and architectural, blending form, function, and community engagement.
Commissioned as part of the 16th Street Mall redevelopment, Aspen Grove Climber reflects the project’s emphasis on experiential placemaking and urban transformation.
Fabricated by our Bay Area-based art fabrication studio, the piece showcases our capabilities in large-scale sculpture fabrication, public art installation, and technical collaboration with artists and design engineers.
